Newton Shield Champions 2022

Congratulations to Kilmacolm Golf Club on winning the 2022 Newton Shield Final. They beat defending Champions Ralston in a closely contested final which was played at Renfrew Golf Club. Defending Champions Ralston Golf Club put up a spirited defence of their title but were beaten by the narrowest of margins. Four games went down to the 18th hole and the other four finished on the 17th green. The final score was Kilmacolm 9 Ralston 7. The Newton Quaich was presented to Ralston Captain Dougie Grant and the Newton Shield was presented to Kilmacolm Captain Megan Briggs.

The Junior Newton Shield Final was won in 2022 by defending Champions, Ralston Golf Club, who beat Greenock Golf Club.
